OUR STORY

How we started

Mr. Ralph Siskind was the proud owner of the Siskind Bakery in Toco Hills. Siskind Bakery was a Kosher bakery opened in 1986. Ralph was also married in 1986, to Hua Ting, together in 2001 they started Atlanta Cake, one of the first online cake delivery bakeries in the Atlanta area. Sadly, on April 23, 2011, Ralph lost his battle with lung cancer and died in his home at the age of 60. (For all that new him, he is truly missed!)

After Ralph's passing, his wife Hua continued his legacy by keeping Atlanta Cake alive! I had the pleasure of meeting Ralph during his vibrant years at Siskind Bakery, although I had the opportunity to sample many of his kosher desserts, I only met his wife briefly then.

In 2013, I reconnected with Hua, we became close friends and she asked me to take over Atlanta Cake while she began her transition to relocate back to her home town of Tokyo, Japan. Hua stated that she was comfortable leaving Atlanta Cake in my hands because she felt her husband would have entrusted me to take care of his vision.

With that endorsement, I felt inspired and compelled to carry on the Atlanta Cake tradition, throughout the years as a sole proprietor of Iced Out Cakes, I have prepared cakes for the general public, as well as celebrities. Now becomming the new face of Atlanta Cake, I proudly accept the baton that has been passed on to me to take Atlanta cake to the next level!

As the new owner of Atlanta Cake, It is my commitment to ensure that everyone will continue to receive the same incredible tasting cakes, at affordable prices, as Atlanta Cake has proudly offered in the past.

Thank you Hua! and R.I.P. Ralph Joel Siskind!

My mom had a cake from here delivered to my office for my birthday (she is such a dork !).  All I can say is Wow ! It was delicious ! This is a cake delivery company and the triple chocolate cake they delivered was so rich a flavorful. My mom lives out of state so she wanted to find a place like this. I had never heard of it, but would recommend it to others.
It is a little pricey, but yummy!

I scoped out the website on the card that came attached to a cake recently delivered to a coworker (I'm nosy like that), and I was shocked to find out that this beautiful chocolate and strawberry encrusted cake was $70.  Seventy bucks!  For a ten inch birthday cake!  I was incredulous.

And then I tasted the cake and $70 became a totally reasonable amount to spend on a birthday cake.  The one my coworker received was the chocolate strawberry cake, which, yes, was only about 10 inches across, but seemed at least a foot high.  Our office of 20 or so people has been eating off of it for two days, and we still have some leftover.

The cake was three layers of lovely , fine crumbed chocolate cake, iced with fresh whipped cream that had been ever so slightly sweetened and tinged with cocoa powder, with layers of fresh sliced strawberries in between the cake and whipped cream goodness.  If you're someone who doesn't really like traditional birthday cake icing, this whipped cream fantasy is for you.

If you're looking to surprise someone with a cake on their birthday but can't make it to them in person, this is a great option.
